Day Trip – Saint Paisios Souroti & Thessaloniki

A beautiful day trip of pilgrimage and sightseeing, with destination Souroti and Thessaloniki.

Departure at 08:00 from Saint Vissarion Square towards Souroti, a short distance from Thessaloniki. There we will visit the Holy Monastery dedicated to Saint John the Theologian and Saint Arsenios of Cappadocia. The monastery grounds contain the relics of Saint Arsenios, as well as the tomb of Saint Paisios, one of the most beloved modern Saints of Orthodoxy. We will have time for pilgrimage and personal reflection.

Then departure for Thessaloniki, where there will be free time for a walk, coffee or lunch in the city center. In the afternoon at 18:00 departure for our return, arriving in Larissa in the evening.

Dress code for entering the Monastery
Entry is not allowed for women wearing trousers, short skirts, sleeveless or backless tops. A loose and long skirt, below the knee, is required. The monastery does not provide clothing. Correspondingly, entry is not allowed for men wearing shorts, short pants or sleeveless tops. The same rules apply to children.
