DAY TRIP 13/07 LICHADONISIA (MONOLIA)
KAMMENA VOURLA
A breath away from Lichada in North Evia and opposite Kamena Vourla are Lichadonisia, with wonderful exotic colors and turquoise waters. Lichades or Lichadonisia is a cluster of 7 small islets in the northwest of Evia between the Maliakos and North Evia Gulfs. They are located between the settlement of Lichada on the Evia side, and Kamena Vourla on the Fthiotida side. Today these islets are an ideal destination for one-day sea excursions and explorations and are almost always full of people enjoying the crystal clear waters and the incredibly beautiful landscape. The islet of Monolia is long and narrow and has a small cove that serves as a natural harbor. Access is by small boats that operate daily from Kamena Vourla. Those who have their own boat can also approach the island from the opposite side of Maliakos where the coastal villages of Raches, Achladi and Karavomylos are located or even from Evia. The beach and waters at Lichadonisia are perhaps among the most beautiful in the area. Golden sand and blue-green hues compose the landscape of the beautiful spot where you will enjoy your swim. The waters are relatively warm and shallow for several meters from the shore. There are sunbeds and umbrellas, but you should be there relatively early to get a sunbed since the beach is small and there are many visitors, especially on weekends
Departure in the morning at 06.30 from Agios Vissarionos beach. Arrival in Kamena Vourla, boarding the boat and departure for Lichadonisia, guided tour by the captain of the ship. Arrival at the organized beach, Monolia, time for a swim, coffee and food from the beach bar and in the afternoon return at 16.30 to Kamena Vourla. Time for coffee and a walk on the beach. In the afternoon at 19.00 return to Larissa, after a beautiful day.
