From cosmopolitan Istanbul and Ankara to enchanting Cappadocia, Pamukkale, Izmir, and Ayvalık, this road trip combines diverse sights and experiences into a comprehensive itinerary.

Day 1 | Larissa – Istanbul

Early morning departure from Larissa and border crossing at Kipi. We continue through European Turkey towards Istanbul, the unique city spanning two continents. In the evening, there will be free time for an initial stroll along the famous Istiklal Avenue (İstiklal Caddesi).

Day 2 | Istanbul – Ankara

Optional Bosphorus cruise, offering unique views of both sides of Istanbul and its impressive bridges. Afterward, we depart for Ankara, the capital of Turkey, where we will check into the hotel and have dinner.

Day 3 | Ankara – Salt Lake – Karvali – Ihlara

Tour of Ankara and visit to the Museum of Islamic Art. We continue towards the impressive Salt Lake, historic Karvali, and the Peristrema Valley—known as Ihlara—where we will walk amidst rock formations and early Christian rock-hewn churches.

Day 4 | Göreme – Kayseri – Whirling Dervishes

We explore the unique landscape of Cappadocia in the Göreme area and visit the Open-Air Museum, featuring rock-cut churches and monasteries carved into the cliffs. Next, we visit Kayseri and spend time in its traditional market. In the evening, we recommend attending the impressive Whirling Dervishes ceremony.

Day 5 | Malakopi – Sinassos – Prokopi

The day begins with an optional hot-air balloon ride over Cappadocia’s unique landscapes. Afterward, we visit the underground city of Malakopi, Sinassos with its distinctive Greek architecture, and Prokopi, home to the shrine of Saint John the Russian. An optional 4x4 safari is also available for those interested.

Day 6 | Cappadocia – Pamukkale

Departure for Pamukkale and ancient Hierapolis, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We will explore the significant archaeological remains of the ancient city and the impressive white limestone deposits, with the opportunity to bathe in the area's warm thermal waters.

Day 7 | Pamukkale – Smyrna – Ayvalık

We travel along a scenic route to Smyrna, where we will visit key landmarks such as the Clock Tower, the waterfront, and the traditional Kemeraltı market. We will also visit the railway station and the Church of Saint Voukolos before continuing to Ayvalık.

Day 8 | Ayvalık – Larissa

After breakfast, we depart for the return journey to Larissa, including necessary stops and the border crossing, concluding a full eight-day trip to Turkey.
