Christoni Travel invites you on a day trip, with the first stop being Souroti (near Thessaloniki) and the Holy Monastery of Saint John the Theologian and Saint Arsenios the Cappadocian, where the tomb of Saint Paisios is located.

Larissa – Souroti – Thessaloniki – Larissa

Departure at 07:30 from Agios Vissarionas Square in Larissa, heading to Souroti, located approximately 28 kilometers from Thessaloniki.

There, we will visit the Holy Monastery of Saint John the Theologian and Saint Arsenios the Cappadocian. The relics of Saint Arsenios the Cappadocian are kept in the monastery's main church (katholikon), and the tomb of Saint Paisios is also located on the premises.

Saint Paisios reposed on July 12, 1994, and was laid to rest next to the church of Saint Arsenios. We will have time for veneration and to explore the monastery grounds.

Afterwards, we depart for Thessaloniki, where you will have free time to spend as you wish. You can stroll through the historic center, enjoy a coffee or a meal, and explore the city.

At 18:00, we depart from Thessaloniki for Larissa, arriving in the evening. Participation fee

Important note regarding the visit to the Monastery

Appropriate attire is required for entry to the monastery.

Women are not permitted to wear trousers, short skirts, sleeveless tops, or backless garments.
A loose, long skirt (covering the knees) is required.
Men are not permitted to wear Bermuda shorts, short trousers, or sleeveless tops.
The same rules apply to children.
The monastery does not provide skirts, scarves, or other garments for visitors; therefore, you must ensure you are dressed appropriately before your visit.
